The North Carolina Society of Jungian Analysts was formed in 1997 as a professional organization dedicated to the following three purposes: 1) To set and maintain high standards in the practice of Jungian analysis, 2) to hold professional and business meetings of its members, and 3) to cooperate with other groups and organizations in the exploration, study and application of Analytical Psychology in educational and other contexts.  (Membership to the North Carolina Society of Jungian Analysts is open only to those who have graduated from an I.A.A.P. approved training program.)

Clarification of Jungian Analytic Training and Jungian (Oriented) Continuing  Education Training: Training to be a Jungian Analyst is a rigorous process that acts as an external container and facilitator for the internal process of individuation. The process demands building a conscious relationship to the unconscious through an ongoing dialogue with psychic energies as they present in one’s inner and outer relationships. The external process involves 300+ hours of personal analysis, didactic seminars, case colloquia, clinical supervision, and oral and written examination processes in an Institute/Society approved by the International Association of Analytical Psychology to award Diplomas in Analytical Psychology. One’s presence and ability to relate from their Self is essential for passing these hurdles.
