Life sometimes moves along quite easily, filled with a certain sense of purpose, meaning and fulfillment. But there are moments when we feel hurt, sad, afraid, confused, stuck, or overwhelmed by something disturbing. We can't seem to move forward on our own. Such times come to every person in varying degrees. Consulting a therapist with experience and integrity can be of immense benefit. Your searching for relief is already a first step toward healing, and a courageous one.
My role as your therapist is –
It has been my experience that every person already contains something of a blueprint for their own healing. I am interested in helping you find the solution that fits you personally. I am not as invested in implementing psychological techniques as I am in helping you discover your own individual answers and responses to the challenges you are facing.
I have been in private practice for 27 years helping individuals who feel overwhelmed by life situations which seem insurmountable. I am both a certified Jungian analyst and a licensed Pastoral Counselor in North Carolina. From 1991-1996 I attended the C. G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland, where I graduated with a Diploma in Analytic Psychology. A large part of the education and training I received included undergoing my own intensive psychotherapy. I understand much of the process you will be going through as you move toward your own sense of healing.
What makes Jungian analysis unique is its appreciation of the wisdom and creativity that originates in our unconscious. Through an exploration of your unconscious expressions – dreams, fantasies, and synchronistic life experiences – you may discover that your current life crisis is coming to further your still unfolding life-story. An element unique to my approach is the art of dream interpretation. Dream material offers an unbiased perspective on your current life situation, as well as an approach to healing that originates with you. This approach not only fosters relief in the moment, but may also teach you something about yourself that will continue to help you long after your therapy ends. If this approach to healing appeals to you, then I would be happy to set up an initial consultation to meet you personally.

My role as your therapist is –
- to listen to you carefully,
- to help you understand your situation clearly,
- to identify your inner and outer resources,
- to walk with you as you keep taking that next step,
- and to assist you in a healing process that is both natural and unique to you.
