Nourishing the Imagination: The Roots of Creativity
This lecture addresses the everyday life of the imagination and its quality of being inspired by a source beyond one's self. Drawing on her experiences as a writer and teacher of creative writing, Dr. Hodges reflects on basic needs that go unmet in environments poor in "soul". How have we, with all our material wealth, gotten into this fix? She explores ways in which gender-bound thinking has cut us off from the sources of creativity, along with possibilities for a new self-understanding and a richer experience of life.
